G'day all,
I'm pumped to head to PNG and walk the Kokoda Track to raise money for MATES in Construction.
This won't be my first time on the track, I walked it 10 years ago with a good mate of mine. One of the best experiences of my life to date. This time seems different though, mainly the emotion towards fundraising for suicide prevention.
I'm walking the Kokoda Track knowing that every dollar we raise will go to maintaining MATES in Construction suicide prevention program and will save lives.
MATES in Construction truly do an amazing job and are a vital link to helping prevent and raise awareness of suicide.

MATES in Construction is a for the industry, by the industry, not for profit that exists to strengthen the construction, mining and energy industries by preventing suicide; because a life saved is one less family grieving, one less site devastated and one less community heartbroken.
MATES is an evidence-based program that reduces stigma and promotes mentally healthier workplaces through training and support. MATES Field Officers deliver training to sites and keep in contact if anyone is in need, while MATES Support is available 24/7 to workers and their families who may be doing it tough.
